PRAYER AND SINGING FUNCTION AT CHURCH

IMPORTANT NEWS!!!!!

There is a function at St. Andrew’s that started at 3:00 pm this afternoon.  It is a prayer and singing gathering where a member of our church along with their family have booked the use of the Sanctuary, the Kitchen and the Great Hall.  This function is being hosted by  this member and their family.

Despite the advertising which has been circulated by  the family, St. Andrew’s is not involved in organizing, hosting or running this event.

Induction Service for The Rev. Byron Kappes

St. Andrew’s is pleased to announce The Rev. Byron Kappes as our new Lead Minister.

The Induction Service by the Presbytery of Brampton for The Rev. Byron Kappes into the Pastoral Charge of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will take place next Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary, followed by a time of fellowship in the Great Hall. The Presbytery of Brampton will meet in the Session Room at 1:30 p.m.

Please plan to attend this worship service in support of Rev. Byron Kappes’ ministry here at St. Andrew’s.

In Memory of Long Time Church Member

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sabah Youash, a long-time member of St. Andrews’ on Thursday March 12th, 2025.  Please keep Sabah’s family in your payers during this difficult time.

Friends will be received on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Meadowvale Cemetery, located at 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, ON, L6Y 5L5.

The funeral service for Sabah will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Monday March 17, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Internment will take place following the service at Meadowvale Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Long time Church Member

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Jess, a long-time member, Elder, choir member, food bank volunteer, and various committees, of St. Andrews’.  Susan will be missed by her many friends and her church family.

Friends will be received on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 from 3-7 pm at the Brampton Funeral Home (Chinguacousy Road and Bovaird).

The funeral service for Susan will take place at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Friday January 10th, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or the St. Andrew’s Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.

Please keep Susan’s family in your prayers during this difficult time.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of long-time member, Elder and former Envelope Secretary, Beatrice Embling,  on Friday March, 1, 2024.

The funeral will be held at St. Andrew’s on Saturday, March 9, 2024.  The family will be holding a visitation from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm with the funeral at 2:00 pm.

A reception will be held following the service.  Memorial donations can be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.

We ask that you hold Bea’s friends and family in your prayers during this difficult time.
