Foodbank

The St. Andrew’s Food Bank is at 44 Church Street East, Brampton, and is open to clients on Wednesdays from noon to 2:00 pm. Our volunteers work between 9:00 am and 2:30 pm.

NOTICE:

St. Andrew’s modified Food Bank is re-opening on November 24, 2021 from 12 noon to 2PM.  New protocols:

  • Mask are mandatory;
  • Everyone must be double vaccinated – you will need vaccine proof and photo id to enter the building;
  • You must bring your own bag(s) to carry away food items;
  • New lineup in the church courtyard by double doors, entry into hallway only and exit via parking lot door; and
  • For your safety no Client seating or bathroom facilities are available.

Our Food Bank is looking for community partners to help us feed the less fortunate in the Brampton area. Our client base keeps expanding, with more students, seniors, and single-parent families having a hard time making ends meet, and it is stretching our resources to the limit.

There is a committee which oversees the distribution of food to Food Bank clients. We would be happy to welcome more volunteers, to receive cash donations, and to have schools and community organizations run regular food drives on our behalf. If you feel that you might like to assist on an occasional or more permanent basis the committee can be reached through the church at 905-451-1723 or foodbank@standrewsbrampton.ca or you can make a Donation Today through this website.

If you wish to use the services the Food Bank provides please bring your own bags, as we will provide canned goods, fresh produce, eggs or wieners, fresh bread, toiletries and various other food items. For parents who bring children, we provide a supervised child care room where children can play while the parent selects items from the food room.

Clients wanting to use the Food Bank must abide by the Client Policies, failure to do so would result in expulsion or being banned.
